The first picture is taken in the Islamic section of Jerusalem.   I like the contrast between the vibrancy of the Dome of the Rock Mosque and the more subdued colors of the buildings below. The second picture was my first glimpse of the Treasury at Petra, an ancient city in southern Jordan. It was a welcome sight after following the Siq, a narrow gorge, for approximately one mile to reach it.
